no comparison to vesuvio's

kinda going through a weird phase where i'm sad because in my mind i think that the closer it comes to getting here, the closer it gets to just ending. this four months, i have a feeling, will fly and before i know it i'll be driving away from this huge trip i'm getting ready for. its like whenever christmas comes around i see it as so much freaking hype getting higher and higher. then it comes, then its over just like that. all that to end. i'm sure it won't actually be like this, but i wonder.

our thee year anniversary was tonight* and we ate at such the fancy little itanlian joint. my kimmers surprised me with what apparently is my christmas present since i thought the pen was my real anniversary gift. which is why i'm up right now at 4:30 gettin all my songs transferred. and i know what some think out there; that its just a trendy little overpriced mp3 player where cheaper ones would do just as good, maybe better, and includes a dumb pair of little earbuds. but i do like it and thinks its pretty sweet. and i'm usually the last person to ever upgrade to the latest and greatest in tech. either way, its the best present ever and she's outdone me once again.

=w=eezer at the pepsi center? i hope they can fill it. sadly gonna miss it though.

i work tomorrow from 1700-0100. its gonna suck. i think my people have something up their sleeves that they will try and surprise me with. feel bad though because that means they are gonna have to stick around till 1700 and most leave at like 1500 on fridays. (aren't i badass by using military time?) and i'm gonna have to put on a huge grin like i'm so happy they did what they did or surprised me with a goodbye. its not that i'm not happy about it, just not good at giving the expressions they would want from me.

i've had enough of all this goodbye business. no one likes them, so why do em? oh well.

HOLD THE PHONE!!!!

BREAKING NEWS WITH AMERICA'S WAR ON TERRORISM!!! that osama character is gonna be toast now! click to read more.

bush's stratergery is summed up in the second to last paragraph.

you don't need cnn, you need me

what a day. basically today was her mini-birthday since i'll be in arlington, virginia that day we would normally be eating a fancy dinner for her real one. started with a pretty nice early morning rise. actually we just layed in bed for like 2 hours thinking about getting up. when we finally did, we headed for sweet tomato's, porked out on that all-u-can-eat scrumptiousness, then got back on the freeway to slc. there we parked and headed straight to my pen shop for round 3 with those homos (1 being with kristen to scope it out, 2 being rejected by early closing hours and a pissed off ethan). after viewing about 10 pens, signing my name and writing 'hello' two dozen times, it came down to two fine writing instruments: a silver cross or black parker. who cares about specifics and what i liked about each. i ended up getting the parker and now couldn't be happier! it is so freaking amazing and completes everything for this trip. well, not quite. anyways, this ended up being my anniversary gift from the lovely (and very understanding for letting me get this unneeded extravagance!) wife.

from there we walked for about a half an hour around the city, were stopped by some missionaries (big surprise), and went to the observation deck of the church headquarters building which was really fascinating actually. great views of slc all around and a pretty cool guy who worked there and could tell you ten facts about any building you pointed to. he looked old enough to be one of the original pioneers, which could be how he knew so much. i enjoyed talking to him however. we even strolled over to brigham young's grave which i think is pretty interesting regardless of what faith you are. buried around him was somewhere around nine of his wives (no joke). and i know he had a lot more than that. these must have been his favorites i guess.

after our day of exploring slc, we headed home in time for my 5:30 appointment with jax. and i know we've had our differences, but she is an arteest if i ever saw one. my hair looks freaking rad! its gonna be sad leaving my new stylist for four months now. after that wonderful experience kim and i strolled a few blocks from our place to pier 69 sourdough sf pizza or something like that for some out of this world good pizza/garlic bread/drinks/championship little league on espn. sad to be leaving that now too. finally, it was off to our casa for some more mini-birthday gift giving. got her a dvd (my trademark) (the notebook) (why only have two sets of parenthesis in a row?), a crappy cd (ana nalick?), and the finest perfume this side of the english channel (very damn sexy). next week we'll be doing our mini-anniversary celebration.

all my work of losing weight has pretty much been shot to hell these last few days. i've skipped running every other night and made up for it by eating a ton more it seems. from here on out, i've gotta focus like no other to keep it going. despite eating about three or four servings of food every meal, i'm still miraculously under 170 (barely). so i figure i can get back down to about 163 by the end of this coming week.

jessIE should be in ohio by now visiting her sis that just had a kid. she's actually there to basically take care of her sister's kids, but its totally good for her cuz she had a freaking looong summer of school and intern crap. and she has a crappy job.

i'm sure you are all following the stuff going down in iraq right? let's see, soldiers are dying and there is a good chance that voters will reject the constitution that bush is crossing his fingers on. the country is basically turning into three states, each ran by the kurds, shiites, and sunnis. and yes hussein was a bad boy, but he did rule that dump a little better (in some ways) that a lot of other islamic-run countries so long as you didn't dis mr. mustache. but if you turn this country into just another islam run nation, what happens with the rights of women? down the freaking drain, that's where. oh and don't forget that our soldiers are getting blown to pieces all so rich guys in sheets can argue about who gets the oil. don't count on us getting any, that's fo sho. and is it me or have we just kinda forgotten about that one guy. remember the one that send nyc ablaze? no, that wasn't saddam. oh well. guess the plan is to just wait for him to do something else crazy and kill us all, then we'll put all our attention on him again. for now we must stay in iraq and secure the peace against the people killing us who want us gone. riiiight. and for my readers who could even care less about the world, israel's pullout from gaza is pretty significant. not everyday that such a change in the world's landscape takes place. no offense to christians/jews/muslims, but jerusalem is the biggest hassle, um, pretty much of all time (next to religion in general). here's my thoughts and brief history as i care to know it: we (as in governments) all have land today because for the most part, we killed other people for it. this feud dates back thousands of years and has switched hands probably on average of once every 4 months. that's just how life goes. so who was there first? i'm pretty sure it was the jews since they were around a thousand years before mohammad, but then wars and crap kicked them out. then we kicked out the arabs and the jews killed them all and took over after ww2. since then, the palestinians want their land back and are willing to put up a fight for it, so i say let them. why the hell not? its how the world works. we wouldn't have our land if we didn't kill our own brothers in red and slaughter all the natives. and if the jews don't want to give it back, then that's fine too. if no one wants peace, we just gotta sit back and watch it unfold and let the best religion win. and we shouldn't pick sides either cuz its all too complicated for anyone to actually know which is right. but there is nothing wrong with taking bets though. since its all religous fluff in the middle of it, let God decide the winner, not us. whoever wins the ultimate war must have God on their side right? in fact, i'm surprised no other islamic countries haven't supported palestine more. my theory is that they are too scared cuz israel has u.s. support and no one can match that. that is until iran figures out where their blue wires go for their nukes. and just think, we'll all be alive someday to see all of this. i'll have my camera ready when this world goes to hell and back. but then again, what do i know? i'm a mormon democrat so don't listen to me.

my cutoff from the world is still going good. it will end wednesday i think.

p.s. your message cheered me up. still not gonna answer though. =)

too much 3EB

today should be a fun filled day of, well, fun filled things i guess. gonna finally get my pen i've been wanting forever now. and sweet tomato's. and the after of the pic above. last night i lost all control and ate: 1. very healthy tv dinner thing; 2. little sandwich and goodies at a wedding we had to go to; and 3. triple play and drinks galore at chili's. oops. so i'll probably be on a week long fast to make up for it. speaking of chili's, saw rhett (jessIE's hub) last night as usual at chili's (his place of occupation). he looked over at us but didn't recognize me. and i'm always too chicken to ever say hi. anyways, that's all i have to say about that. in fact, i really don't have much to say about anything right now.

i'm gonna copy matt's idea this once and put up my 25 most played songs on iTunes. these are out of all my songs over the course of many months and in no way reflects what i really listen to. some of these (most of these) are songs that kim has just put on repeat which screws up my totals, but what can ya do? so enjoy.

if i don't let myself by happy now, then when? if not now when?

Sideways (2004): took a while to see what the big hype was all about. got really gay after a while. had a ton of potential, but their acting was sometimes so unbelievable. eh, bad i guess. i saw a lot of ryan and i in the story. prolly not worth seeing though cuz most can't stand ryan and i together. sorry, cuz i'm sure a ton of people really thought this movie was great. don't see.

House of Flying Daggers (2004): a little less believable than hero and cthd. so hard to believe that these movies are coming out of this country which is slowly become the new bad guy. not as dramatic and fast-paced as the others. music not as memorable. good sound fx though. kinda confused by what mei did and the whole ending. don't see.

what a shitty 24 hours. haven't had this bad a day in months it seems. i don't feel like rehashing all the crappy events on here, but its been bad. done with school. my final for gov. was a lot of work, but i'm pretty sure i did good. i've decided that for the next week i'm gonna cut myself off from the rest of the world. my life revolves too much around my computer and communicating through it. just want some time alone i guess from the outside. so no aim, yahoo messenger, msn messenger, text messages, cell phone calls, land line calls, or emails. i'll read whatever i get, but won't respond or sign in to any of the programs. just gonna do it for a week. i'll think of it as a mini vacation before the real one. i'll still post on here, so if you care what i'm doing, just check back here every now and then.

my plans between now and then are pretty much nothing. prolly lots of sleep and maybe getting back into san andreas. i've taken some time off of that over the past few weeks to focus on exercising and scanning pics. had to say bye to jess today which wasn't that great. and the weather outside is very fitting for my mood these days. went running last night, and kept running, and kept running some more. not sure how far i went, but it was far. in fact, weighed myself last night at 161. hard to believe. in fact, i don't think believe it. i've dropped like 14 pounds, but i don't know where they fell from. pretty much every part of me is as fat as ever. i feel bad cuz i went to applebee's this afternoon and went wild on food. tonight's dinner is gonna be like an apple now (i hope).

for some random reason, i've started playing solitaire on my comp. i'll get in about 40 games a day and i'm trying to see if in the long run it goes in your favor as far as winning money. but like most games, the odds are against me it seems. i'm currently -$814. and its not like i'm a bad solitaire player. i do know how to play and try to figure out strategies (i don't think this game is all luck). i'll keep trying for the next week though and see if i can break this losing streak.

for those that care, i've stopped going to my doctors. stopped a couple months ago actually. i learned a lot going and i think it really helped. sadly though i don't think i can go off of the medication. i'm just too screwed up to handle my life without it.

on a lighter note, i'm practically all set for the trip. all i need are shoes and an umbrella which i'll buy both from tom in denver. oh yeah, and cotton swabs. trying to find a new template for my blog, but to no avail. took a steaming hot bath last night and started reading a new book. that's it.

won't miss dumb people

for the second time this semester, this retard in class has asked me if i got a new laptop and if i like it or not. but i can barely hear him each time he has asked, so i’ll say, “do i like my laptop?” and he will just look at me and kind of mumble something. so i assume that is what he is asking.

an officer from last night at work (who i will not mention here) displayed his idiocy once again. he was all excited and read this looong chain email to me about how captain kangaroo was this huge war hero from iwo jima and how mr. rogers was a navy seal in vietman, killed around 25 VC, and uses his sweaters to cover up his tattoos from his war days. he was so proud of these guys being so brave and heroic. so i go online afterward and see that this chain mail is just more crap being sent around and is totally bogus. i think captain k was in some war, but for the most part, it was all BS. i wished someone could go in and burst his bubble, but i’m too nice i guess. oh well. mr. “i can see satan in the eyes of the clinton’s” will just have to live his little naïve life. won’t be missing officer stockwell when i’m gone. oops. i’ll tell you who i will miss though: kim, jonas, jessIE, ma, em, sena, lloyds, kelly, cory, justin, jay, and adam. i won't miss my professor stott because he is incompetent and the biggest slacker i know. certainly won't miss our neighbors upstairs who can die for all i care. won't miss the 13 car dealerships i pass on my way to school. won't miss emily and max's breakup cycle. i will miss my little doggy scooter (mom's dog actually). won't miss school and being given the run-around because it seems to be an impossible task for all these college educated administrators to give me 8 simple credits of internship. my job: take a stab at that one. miss my bed and my plant. won't miss utah, but i think i'll miss utah. figure that one out. my nights are gonna become pretty restless over the next two weeks just because i’ve got so much on my mind as i just lay there.

so here are some of the great comments that mr. laptop mumbler said in class today: (i should have been doing this all semester, but that would have required me to stay awake each time)

(in the middle of the professor's lecture) “yeah i was gonna ask about that.”
“and i think a part of it too is . . ." (gets cut off by prof.)
“now that we are in [iraq], how do we establish the borders? is it going to change?”
“how does pension work?” (while we were talking about congressional reelections)
“the exam will have matching, but at the end will there be supreme court cases like all the other tests?” (we haven’t talked about supreme court cases in months and only the first exam had them)
besides his stupid comments, it was pretty much a wasted class today. just snoozed in the back row as usual.

is this trip becoming overrated?

The Great Gatsby (1974): i've seen it before waaaay back in high school after we had to read the book. or was it middle school? anyways, throughout the years i'd kinda forgotten both the book and movie. thought i'd take another stab at it. i didn't like the fact that they played all eight songs from the 20's that we are all familiar with today. would have been nice to play some lesser known music. its pretty bad when you can see the camera's shadow moving along the walls and ground. and gatsby was mr. fashion wearing those pink suits. or he was just gay. such the trend setter. acting was pretty amazing. i guess i recall the book being much better. the end is a lot like american beauty strangely. a pretty sad movie cuz the bad guys won. see it only cuz the story is great.

How Green Was My Valley (1941): took forever to get to the point. must have originally been a novel cuz its pretty boring. not that all adaptations from books are boring, but its just got that feel for it. no one would just come up with this story for a movie. that's actually all i wrote about this movie in my little movie notebook. yes people, i have a movie notebook. anyways, had to watch it for my class and it won best picture forever ago. really boring and took all my strength to finish it. its about this welsh community that goes through tough times. the end. don't see.

when i'm filthy rich and have tons of time on my hands, (which will most likely be never) i want to go back to school and get a degree in statistics and maybe a foreign language. doesn't matter which language. maybe a euro language so i can go there and not feel like a retarded tourist. and as far as stats go, i'll still stick with my previous statement of statisticians being a worthless profession, but its really interesting for me at least. i'm all about math, but would never want to get into really high levels of it. and i figure with my ocd, stats would do me well.

i've decided to take my snowboarding stuff to dc with me because a. three hours from dc are some ski resorts and it would be cool to say i've boarded in virginia, and b. i'll need it for when i come come to denver this december cuz you know i'll be riding up a storm then. gonna take up a ton of room, but totally worth it.

also decided to grow a beard for the next two weeks. why you ask? because first of all i can, and second this is my last chance to not shave for some time. i don't think the good senator would appreciate me sporting some fine looking mutton chops. speaking of, i'm gonna be daring and have jax do my hair and maybe highlight it. watch for it.

people of my city, i give you gary numan

in gov today, right in the middle of this pretty complex lecture on monetary policy and all the nuances of the fed, some freaking retard asks if there is already money in atm machines. she seriously wanted to know where that money came from. not like if it comes from the federal reserve banks or the people’s deposited money, but basically if money just magically appears or if it goes through some tunnel from a bank to the machine. our professor said it was elves that keep it stocked and just went on with the lecture. she is probably the stupidest person i’ve ever had the pleasure of being around. she’s asked a ton more questions that are just as bad, but i can’t remember them now.

so a few days closer now. getting kinda scared for two reasons. the first is that i’ve been doing fairly well from not shoveling pounds of food in my mouth and exercising. worried though, that when i get to colorado, all that will go to hell and i’ll be living at chipotle and rock bottom. and like i’m gonna take the time to exercise when i’m out. the second concern is once i get to dc. starting to realize how much i’m gonna have to do while i’m there. my list, far from exhaustive, includes writing an 8 page paper on my internship in order to get credit, writing my personal statement letter for law schools, and applying to all the law schools. oh yeah, and i’ll be studying and taking the lsat the first week of october, which by the way is most likely the single most important test i’ll take in my life. of course i’m not studying now, nor will i be studying in colorado. i’m hoping to just cram like mad for that first month i’m out there and pray i do alright. if i don’t feel like i’m up for it, i guess i can take it in december. but that would suck too. and on top of that, i’ve got more stuff to see than i think four months will allow.

bought a sweet mouse for my laptop finally and i’m bidding on a cool surge protector online. things are really getting down to the wire.

now we got this faggot in the class who is criticizing john kerry for marrying a woman whose company she is affiliated with has “90%” of their company outsourced. like kerry had anything to do with how they’ve decided to run their business. i hate, absolutely hate these idiots in class. and this is only the tip of the ice burg. people make the stupidest comments i have ever heard. so many times i just want to get up and leave but i have nothing else better to do i guess. actually, i'm still reading america: the book, which happens to be the funniest book ever written.

at least i'm not dying of dysentery

nothing is going on. i mean nothing. school is winding down finally. only three more days of bankruptcy and three days of government. work is doing the same with only 5 working days between now and when i leave, totaling only 27 measly hours. each night i run and lift my little weights and do lots of sit ups or crunches or whatever it is i can barely do. i'm down to about 167 which is very wonderful i must say. the problem is that all i do throughout the day is think about how wonderful my next meal will be since i feel like i'm on the meager food rations from oregon trail. its a struggle each night to keep at it and not just slack off and go to sleep. oh yeah, and i seem to never sleep either. usually up till between 3 and 4. used to spend this time watching movies and playing gta. now its all about scanning my pictures and thinking about food while i exercise. it is working at least.

the time is soon approaching. purchased my metro pass thingamabob online a few days ago so that should be coming in the mail. did i mention i picked up a sweet coat for those snowy dc days? let me tell you how sweet it is. all i really need are new shoes which i'll pick up from tom when i'm out, a few more white button-ups, and that's about it. maybe a power strip, a pen from kim hopefully (anniversary gift), oh, and a mouse for my laptop. i gotta say, laptop mice/mouses/whatever suck. haven't found one i like.

we (as in ryan and i) are hoping to get a camping trip going for when i'm out. get tom, jer, and dust all together for maybe a new annual event? probably won't end up being annual, but this once would be good. gonna be hard to fit in with everything else going down. really wanna spend a good day with my bro and maybe go riding. so if the camping trip does go through, my bro and i will have to find some time maybe during the week to hang after work and all. we'll see. then there is karen and kristen and chipotle. so much to do as usual. only a week to fit it all in. i can't wait to move back. and i'm really hoping i get into DU. CU would be nice also, but DU i think would be fun. really love the city. so yeah, that's about it. i'm slowly getting tan and skinnier. only about a 7% change in what i actually used to look like. my gut is still as prominent as ever. but i'm happy. and let's here it for tom. the boy actually has a girlfriend for once. so everyone give him a call and congratulate him on the new miss "i love you right now."

we're gonna need a montage

Unleashed (2005): all the bad guys were pretty clichéd. jet li was pretty amazing of course, but i expected nothing less from him. the main girl was stupid. the movie was all about the fight scenes. but in the end, not worth seeing. just kinda cheesy i guess.

Team American: World Police (2004): as expected, movie history's greatest sex scene. there must have been so much work put in to make this movie. i can't even imagine putting together some of the stuff you see. each musical number is amazing. the big motivation speech at the end is better than any braveheart or lord of the rings speech. see it and then buy the sound track.

well kim's sis kristin had been in town for what seemed to be like a month. she finally left last night and its certainly pretty quiet around here. i really miss her though. we always seem to grow closer each year as she gets older. of course we still have our many moments where we fight like brother and sister, but at the end of the day we are really good friends. so basically, i really miss her. glad she's out of our house so we can go back to normal, but still. it will be nice to see her again in august when i'm out.

zumiez is hiring at the mall and i would love to freaking work there. in fact, if i didn't have the internship, i'm pretty sure i would quit my job and get on with them. think how fun that would be. sure its crappy retail, but it would still be awesome. oh well.

i'm getting excited because i've been flirting around 169 pounds. this is significant because: 1. its 169 and; 2. haven't been under 170 for as long as i can remember. i either sit at 170 or fluctuate anywhere between 170 and 180. my goal by denver time is between 160 and 165.

i have 3,755 songs in my playlist not including weezer, updated my iTunes last night, restarted it, was on random and the first song to come on was U2’s vertigo. conspiracy?

1800 - 0700

just got done working a 13 hour shift at work. sure takes a lot out of a person. felt pretty sick during the night trying to either sleep in that worthless chair (or should i say, most expensive, useless chair) or just counting down the hours. still feel kinda woozy now that i'm awake after getting some 4 hours of sleep since i got home at 7 this morning. don't ask why i did it. combo of moola, helping kelly out (even though i doubt from now until i quit that i'll have the favor returned), and san andreas of course. i'm about 30-something percent done with the game and have put in about 36 saved hours worth. although all in all, i'd say i've put in about 50 hours or more on the game. last night finished the valet parking sub-mission, got a new girlfriend, and lived my dream of owning property in SF. life is good for CJ and myself. had to destroy what seemed to be a million pounds of mj before the feds came and busted us though. i had a tear in my eye as we torched the fields with our flame throwers.

school is gay still. i'm pretty sure i'll get A's in my classes, but i'm so done with them. kim's sis is in town, or should i say still in town. i know she is bored out of her mind and dying to get back to the comfort of her own home and bed. feel bad whenever anyone comes to visit us. for any future visitors, visiting us in utah is only about visiting us, not utah. there really isn't much to do hear but chat and eat i guess.

looks like my mom is moving again. believe it or not though, it could be for the last time finally. went to the ghetto water park by my house yesterday and had a blast. getting a sort of decent tan. its not that decent in general, but decent for me. still trying to run each night and eating less and less. getting to a point where i feel like i'm starving myself. i still think i'm getting enough food, just not the pounds and pounds of it that i'd shovel in back in the day. i miss food so much.

i swear sen. bennett rocks. i read such good things about him. not about to disaffiliate myself with the party and join ranks with the grand ole party poopers, but he is something else. he is pretty old, but seems very vibrant and alive enough to not only stay in office for a number of future terms, but gain the respect that hatch has received over the last 30 freaking years he's been our guy. and i mean respect from both parties, not just the repubs. speaking politics, i'm reading america by jon stewart. everyone needs to read this. funniest crap ever.

my jeep got the thumbs up from mike's auto shop for driving it all the way to dc. got my contract in the mail for my apartment. and if i can ever get my faggoty ass link box to work, i'll put the link to those apartments up. they are pretty tight. i picture, although i doubt it will be this way, me taking a nightly swim after my workout in the gym each night. four months is a long time, but something tells me that it won't be long enough.

our little jonas got jacked yesterday by who knows what. poor little guy has some cuts on his face from being outside. worst part is that he prolly couldn't fight back since he has no front claws. so i think we'll be keeping him inside a little more often now. its been a heat wave here pretty much like everywhere else in the country. not as bad at the 117 in vegas though. you crazy desert peeps. why would anyone live there? now that i've said that i'm sure unlv will be the only law school i get into. so that about it for now. all the crap below is basically stuff that i meant to write like a week ago. just been too busy doing nothing these days. so enjoy part II. oh yeah, and jimmy eat world's future is sooo good. the rest of the album stinks.

Birth (2004): very interesting, unique, and a pretty good intro. but i was confused early on. the whole package seems like a kubrick copycat. there is a huge child actor part so of course i gotta mention that. he actually wasn’t all that bad. the film is stupid to have so many recaps. and what was she in love with in the movie? the kid’s personality stinks and i doubt she is attracted to this ugly ten year-old. so is it just that he’s got all the memories? the movie isn’t really a thriller but seems like it should be. and the, “let’s just shoot a five minute close up of her facial expressions,” got really old. the story drags. and believe it or not, some of the things that nicole and this ugly kid were doing, i actually thought was okay. (spoiler) and talk about a 360 at the end. the kid should have been shot. i guess worth seeing.

so its 2:55 am and i just got back from running. (like i said, this was written like a week ago cuz its really saturday afternoon right now) pretty crazy huh? i got off at 1 am so what can i say? even though it will do me no good, i’m in a good cycle of running each night and have been for some time now. need to try and keep that going no matter how late it is. lately though there has been some crazy shit creapin up in the hood. tonight in the totally ghetto apartments next to us there were people just standing around chatting outside in their concrete courtyard. who stays up this late just to talk? then i got police crawling up every street. and last night i was running and saw this pretty yellow lab looking thing running between the houses. my first thoughts were that it was going to destroy me, however it just ran away. so i ran another block or so and i started picturing in my head me and that dog running together. after about 5 seconds of that i feel something touch the back of my heel and had this happen any other time i would have screamed like a girl (its dark out there!) and ran really fast. this time i just twisted my head around and saw a yellow leg bouncing up and down and sure enough, my little dog was jogging with me. as much as i wanted to just run forever with my dog i had to stop and get him away from me so i wouldn’t be responsible for him. but he just thought it was some stupid game and was running in the yards and running straight for me and totally being the best dog anyone could ever ask for. then i started thinking that a dog like this had to of come from a really good home and i’m sure they would be devastated to lose their dog. i came close to checking the tags to see if there was an address, but it was like 1 in the morning so i'm not about to go knocking on doors. took me about 10 minutes (no joke) and i finally coaxed it away and took a long detour for the rest of my jog. i was sad not to see the dog tonight. instead i felt like i should be carrying my glock on me. granted its still provo, utah so its not like i’m in that much danger. but still, it was a very thrilling night.

yesterday i did the impossible and didn’t check my email for a full 24 hours. usually i’ll check it about 10 times a day. right now i feel like never wanting to check my email ever again. i hate emails and responding and so forth. its handy, but i’m just sick of it all. too much work. gotta say that gmail is very refreshing.

man, and how sad are the bombing in britain? so much for that war on terrorism eh? granted i’m sure we’ve prevented this and that, but had all our efforts gone to that endeavor instead of iraq, this might not have happened. but then again think of all the bombings in london that the iraqis would have carried out had we not taken them over.

this is really bad, but its so true and i generally like to be truthful, but hurricane season is upon us and i really feel like its some annual event that i’m gearing up for. as i type this there is one headed toward cancun and just jokingly in my head i thought, ooo, that would be nuts if cancun got wiped out. but i’m morbidly curious to see it happen. i know all that crap is pretty tragic, but still. some of the best crap i have on my computer is footage from the tsunami last year and i think its all pretty sweet to watch, even though it was so awful. anyways. it seems i’m always interested in when things beat old records, so here’s so a good hurricane season! and everyone keep moving to florida to keep it interesting. but don't forget your home owners insurance.

first of all, are you new to how ebay and half.com work because you must be doing something wrong if this is the second time you've gone through this. i don't care how many times you are hitting the confirm button either. i got an email from them saying YOU cancelled. did you get anything similar from them? i don't even think i can cancel it on my end after i have bought it. because its user error on your end, i've been put in a difficult position because after i got that cancellation email, i bought a different book online. so i feel an obligation to purchase their book. i did get your book yesterday by the way and i'd say its condition is far from "brand new." did you see the tips of the pages before making your claim? i don't feel i should have to pay your full price for what i asked for. so i'm going to keep the book and i will pay you just the $59 price for the book because it was not brand new like you said. there are no b of a's out here so you'll have to come up with a different idea to get your money.

ETHAN CHAMBERS READ WELL BECAUSE I DONT PLAY GAMES I DO AS I SAY

FIRST OF ALL WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TALKING TOO YOUNG MAN? YOU HAVE RECEIPTOF MY BOOK. THEN YOU TRY TO EXTORT ME FROM MONEY ON THE INTERNET. IF I DO NOT GET MY MONEY BY FRIDAY JULY 1ST 2005 I AM SIGNING A FELONY WARRANT FROM GEORGE. SECONDLY YOU ARE TALKING TO A REVEREND AND U WILL ADDRESS ME AS ONE. YOU ARE TO RETURN MY BOOK IMMEDIATELY. I HAVE FILED A POLICE REPORT AND IF MY BOOK OR MY MONEY IS NOT IN MY ACCOUNT WITH BANK OF AMERICA [account number] GA ACCOUNT. I WILL HAVE YOU CHARGED WITH FELONY THEFT BY TAKING.

REVEREND M. M.

[the good reverend's address]
--------------------------------------------------------------
hahaha. thanks for the email reverend. funny that you mention all that crap sine when you go online it never shows a sale, simply that you cancelled it. so basically you sent me a book for no reason at all because we had no sale. that "receipt" you claim came with the book is nothing more than a packing slip with my address on it. i've never seen any receipt or contract of our "sale." (a receipt would include proof of me purchasing something) you still didn't explain yourself as to why my book is not new. and don't get all pissed at me for not calling you reverend. in fact i didn't call you anything my last emails. i could care less about your status and i'm not a member of your church so i was unaware of such requirements when i speak to you. and your cheap threats won't work. georgia's code says that a theft of such a low amount like this valuable book will be considered a misdemeanor. GA Code Ann. 16-8-12(a) 2004. so you go ahead and file that "warrant." i work for a police dept here and i guarantee they could care less about your $60 book. no one is going to come storming through my door so they can get your money. this is between you and i. lets address the issues without crying to the police. or go to the police if that makes you happy. you'll just waste your time. i want to keep the book for $59. there are no bank of america's where i live so i don't know how you expect me to put any money anywhere. i told you this in my last email if cared to read it. your method of payment is impossible so figure out something else. i'll mail you a check or money order or whatever. if you don't like my $59 offer, you can: 1. admit the book is not brand new condition and out of the kindness of my heart i might consider paying the entire original offer; or 2. you can pay me money to ship the book back to you since after you cancelled it we no longer had a deal and i had no use for the book. and if you think that i'm just some scam artist on the internet trying to con people, you are mistaken. i've been an ebay user before you probably starting using the internet. i have 100% feedback and have never ran into a problem such as you. have a great day reverend.

[his address again]

you mail me my money at the above address and you are a con artist and thank to your emails it is federal so go try practicing law because I have you admitting you received the book. you did not cancel it you opened it and did not returnto sender so we do have a valid contract and theft by taken by US mail is a felony now send me my money and we can move on youhave my address above.

govern yourself accordingly,

Reverend M. M.
--------------------------------------------------------------
yeah i received the book cuz you sent it to me. why did you send it to me? the order was cancelled (i still have this email from half.com showing your cancellation). so we are talking contracts now? the contract seized to exist once you cancelled the order. then i got a book in the mail from you without any new offer. basically without any contract or deal in place (because you cancelled it) the book was just something you decided to send to me for whatever reason. and by me opening it does NOT mean i agreed to any contract. in order for me to accept your offer, i would have had to pay you money, not open a package. and, the package was addressed to me. of course i'm going to open it. i had a number of books on order so it could have been any one of them. i guess normal people aren't as overly cautious as you when opening their packages in the mail, for fear that they might be accepting a contract. thats not how it works buddy. again, opening a package is not me accepting anything. had i transferred money to you, then that would constitute me accepting your offer. and what contract are you even going to present to any court? i'd certainly like to see this. there was also no offer and acceptance during our emails back and forth. so all you have on your side is a cancelled half.com contract. and never have i said that i'm keeping your book without compensating you. you continue to avoid the subject of the book's condition. is that because you know i'm right? if you want to talk about contracts, then you should be aware that what you sold me is not what was originally offered. you offered me a "brand new" book, hardly what i received. you speak of me being a con-artist, yet you lie about what you are really selling. and for this reason, i am happy to return the book, for you paying the shipping costs. and broken contracts are a civil matter, not criminal. no laws were broken by me opening mail addressed to me. are you just making this stuff up as you go? do you have statutes, either state or federal, that you are going off of or do you practice law in your spare time from being a reverend? why would you even send it to me before getting your payment? thats rediculous. this is why people wait until they get their money before sending out stuff. i know its hard for you to admit, but the mistakes that you have made in this matter are piling up against you. i'll be happy to send you $59 to your address. i will try and get it out tomorrow or the next day. your feedback on half.com shows that you've done one sale prior to mine. again, i must stress that you get some help figuring out how to properly sell things online so that you don't make the same mistakes for the third time. and try using periods in your emails. having a hard time figuring out what you are saying.

ALL THIS EMAILING IS A WASTE OF MY TIME SO EITHER YOU SEND THE MONEY OR I WILL PRESS CHARGES I, AM, WITH THIS MATTER. DO NOT WASTE MY TIME BY SENDING ME EMAILS YOU HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT THE LEGAL SYSTEM SON IF YOU WERE IN ONE OF THE PENITENTIARIES I VISIT YOU WOULD BE SINGING A DIFFERENT STORY SON DONA THINK I WILL LET THIS MATTER GO. PERIOD YOU OWE ME MONEY PAY IT AND STOP WASTING MY TIME. IF U DID NOT NEED THE BOOK YOU WOULD HAVE NOT OPENED IT. AND U WERE AWARE IN YOUR EMAILS THAT IT WAS COMING AND I INFORMED YOU AHEAD OF TIME OF WHAT TO DO WITH THE BOOK ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS NO ACCEPT IT. YOU REEP WHAT YOU SOUL...................

yes, he got the last word in the matter, but still only got a $59 check in the end. how did i get this lucky? word to the wise, only buy from those with more than 1 feedback. obviously. guess i should have known better. i doubt i've heard the end of his holiness. once he gets his check i'm sure he'll be spouting off more incorrect sayings. by the way, was i wrong in what i did? many will think yes since it was really over like $9. some won't cuz for me, as usual it was a matter of principle. oh well. the moral of the story is to not screw around with descriptions of what you are selling. the end. i hope.

47 days . . .

The Wild Bunch (1969): great suspenseful opening scene. overall it was pretty entertaining i guess. good portrayal of mexicans. for its time, it is extremely violent, filled with language, and more than enough nudity. by today’s standards its pretty tame, but this was ‘69 (that could explain it i guess). there are so many characters that i didn’t feel a connection with anyone. and the stuff you could do with horses back then. geez. seems to have a number of big memorable scenes in film history. was a little hard to follow because i don’t know a lot about US/mexican relations during the setting of the movie. it was good, but i’ll get my kicks from butch cassidy. worth seeing i think.

Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942): how do they make a black and white film into color? not sure either. took a while to see the point of the movie. cagney is certainly no gene kelly. what’s weird is, how they determined what color certain things should be. there is no way of knowing (i think) exactly what colors the original costumes and props and sets and everything else on film were. very unlike me, but i really, really enjoyed the big yankee doodle musical number they did. however, the endless montages of different musicals got so very old. the movie is just more over the top patriot fluff. don’t see.

had an interesting experience on sunday at my school with this patriotic service thing they had for the 4th. my future boss was the keynote speaker and man is he an awesome guy. totally full of integrity and more knowledge than me. (that was a joke) got to shake his hand and have a very brief convo at the end. and the more i read about where he stands on positions, the more that i love the guy. this is how a republican should act and most should take note. between him and hatch, i think i got the better of the two. the service thing was pretty awesome. by far the most patriotic and “go USA!” thing i’ve ever attended.

does anyone know the history of singapore? you never hear much about them.

i’ve always been the guy going to law school, and “ooo look at him, he is going to go to law school.” but i’m not the “oh look at him, he goes to law school.” there is a ton riding on me. i could be the guy who didn’t get into law school. how sad would that be? i need suggestions on what i should do after i graduate and if i don’t get into law school. i know what ryan wants if i don’t go, which might actually be fun. maybe i could get some job working for the senator after the internship. hollywood video would be kinda cool too. i’m hoping kim will just let me sit and play games and watch movies. she’d probably rather me go into biz with ryan. actually, that might be a toss up for her.

Haligh, Haligh, an awful lie

what a night. had to work a little longer than i wanted because of wonderful scheduling issues which seem to be the norm these days at my shit job. we all love kelly to death, but its getting pretty bad. throw sena in the mix and that makes for two unhappy dispatchers. so i got home around 3 (that’s a.m.) and after stretching, running, drinking some refreshing water, making a wonderful mix cd (although i still have much to learn about making mix cd’s), i now sit in my vehicle listening to it, drinking even more water, and yes, typing away on my laptop. i’ve got my reasons for such odd behavior, but i guess its just easier to say i’m just odd. and if you could only see me now. if i had my cam i’d take a pic. nothing anyone would want to see though because of the current no shirt thing. it was hot outside during my run. what am i supposed to do? dawn is creeping along and the birds are almost in full unison. tomorrow (or today i guess) is when everyone pretty much celebrates the 4th. in about one hour and fifteen minutes, the hot air balloons will be taking off from about 5 minutes from here. thought about just staying awake and walking over there to check em out. i tell myself every year that i’ll wake up early enough to see them. maybe this is the year? doubtful.

funny to think about last 4th. the law firm was pretty much in full affect (or is it effect?). mike and i went shooting and were actually friends then. last i heard from him was an email telling me to take him off my mailing list. i don’t think he was kidding either. my blog’s year anniversary came and went pretty quietly. used to be able to post so much because i worked so often and was so bored that i had all the time in the world. scheduled for only two days a week now until i quit the job, hence my recent lack of lucid dream commitment.

and get this. the freaking psycho cat is on top of my jeep right now. don’t worry though: doors locked, windows up. that cat’s got nothing on me. but i’m waiting to look up and see him clawing his way into my roof like in some terminator movie. its kinda scary listening to him walk up there.

hung out pretty much all day with courtney today from school. gotta say, that girl is something else. she can talk for days about what seems like any subject. she won’t admit it, but she’s got some brain on her. took her no time at all to discover this nonsense i write. i doubt she’ll care to read such trivial crap. most people are interested in it for only a short time, then realize its all the same garbage and move on. now that she has stumbled upon my little world, i doubt she’ll want to be doing any more studying so that really sucks cuz i had a pretty fun time.

its two minutes to five now. still no sign of daylight yet. o’connor retired yesterday, but i have a feeling that i won’t be considered for her replacement. its this blog that’s holding me back.

i don’t know what’s been going on with me lately. i’ve been feeling a ton of anger lately and i’m generally never an angry person (except those random times when i tell tom that i’m going to kill him, but i never really mean it). many know about this issue i’ve been having with the good reverend from georgia and the textbook i purchased from him through half.com. i’ll hopefully be posting our little correspondence on here as soon as all is said and done. to me its been one big game. i view it as my first case as a potential lawyer. i’ve tried to be thorough in my analysis and view all sides. it has been a good experience and has allowed me to utilize my maddd legal research skills and shady contract law knowledge. so far i think i’m winning the case even though it seems he got the last word in. we’ll see though. this guy is pretty persistent and brutal. watch out for those georgia felony warrants too!!! i’ve got nothing against any religious clergy members, but this “reverend” is an asshole. and he has the nerve to call me a con artist!! moving on however, i feel ready to blow up at any minute if the right buttons are pushed (not necessarily because of mr. reverend). let those faggots upstairs pound one more time. i dare them. please, someone say the wrong thing to me and maybe cut me off in traffic. ruin my life a little more greg. could you do that for me? what a nice time to go postal. not that ryan is a psycho or anything, but it seems like he can really be on the edge too sometimes. guess i know the feeling now. wow, i’m so difficult. how does anyone stand me?

the new starting line cd is something else. i think one or two songs are really gay, but i’m so down with everything else. i knew i should have bought it before those other two wastes of time. never thought i’d say that about two of my fav bands. on a random note, i have no doubt in my mind that marilyn manson will go directly to hell. its kinda sad because i really think the band is amazing and talented. crazy, but amazing to listen to.

tom is moving in with a girl!!! what’s up with that??? they are just friends, but still. its just weird. i think i’m actually getting wireless out here in my parking lot so i might be able to post all of this from here. otherwise it’ll be on later today. and oh how the sky now races to rid itself of this darkness. only ten minutes ago was there nothing. and i still got 58 more minutes of battery life!! i hope to be nestled inside by then though.

chris leaves sunday and i have a feeling i won’t see him for a few years. that’s just how things go. i’ve had a pretty good time with him here and all of us being together. does anyone know why motorcycles don’t have radios or cd players or something on them? i’m not talking about the big honda’s, but rice rockets. i know they can make stuff small enough to add without screwing with the bike’s performance. is it legal stuff? anyone have any ideas?

for some reason, even though the balloons should be doing their thing in like 30 minutes, i don’t feel like seeing them. i’m making a new list on yahoo that has all my all-time favorite movies. i don’t know what its purpose is though. i have a few lists like this already. feel like curling up in a ball and just sleeping in the back of my jeep right now. its 5:31. i should have just stayed at work.

okay, no wireless anymore. you’ll get this later. could be later today, could be next week. slacker i am.

i wanna give you only one reply
i know not who i am
